At Seymour, we take your privacy and data protection seriously. We are committed to safeguarding your personal information in compliance with the laws of the regions in which we operate. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your data and how we protect your privacy. In certain cases, additional privacy notices may apply depending on the specific services or regions. These should be read alongside this general policy for a full understanding of our practices. 

Our Privacy Policy may be updated periodically. When changes occur, we will update the effective date at the bottom of this page, and in some cases, we may provide further notice (such as via an in-app notification or website announcement). We encourage you to review this policy regularly to stay informed of how we collect, use, and protect your information, as well as the choices you have regarding your data.

Information We Collect

Seymour collects personal information necessary to deliver our services, products, and information to you or a supplier to deliver your in trip experience on your behalf.  Seymour collects personal information from individuals booking or engaging with Seymour and its services.  This personal information is submitted by you at your full permission, either directly to Seymour or via your trip supplier, and includes but is not limited to: full name, address, email address, telephone numbers, country of origin, demographic information, interests or preferences, passport details, insurance and travel medical information, comments you provide to us, and payment information, which is collected securely via Windcave — privacy policy

How We Use This Information

We collect your personal information to provide you with our services and related communications, including the seamless booking and experience of activities through Seymour, our in-trip travel app. Our primary use of your personal data is to arrange and deliver the tours and activities you have booked, as well as any associated services. Some examples of how we use your information include:

  • To present your booking information in your mobile app, allowing easy access and management of your itinerary.

  • To enable the functionality of the app's features, such as booking confirmations and in-app notifications.

  • To create a personal identifier for bookings so we can distinguish you from other clients and provide a personalised service.

  • To provide our team with the necessary details to operate Seymour for activities booked by you.

  • To perform analytics and debug our technology, ensuring our app works smoothly and without interruptions.

  • To send you important updates, security alerts, and notifications related to the tours or services you have requested through the app.

  • To offer ongoing support, including resolving any issues you may encounter during your trip related to bookings or services in the Seymour application.

Your information is stored on secure databases at protected addresses and safeguarded from unauthorised access. You can request removal from all Seymour databases at any time by emailing help@seymour.travel  We do not sell your personal information to third parties.  However, if you are using a service from one of our partners, we may share your first and last name to confirm your booking.  We will not share any additional contact details, such as your email address or phone number. 

How Long We Retain Data

Seymour may retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, including any legal or reporting requirements. After your interactions or bookings are completed, we will securely delete or anonymize your data unless we are legally required to keep it for a longer period. You can request deletion of your personal data from the application and Seymour databases at any time.

How Card Payment Information is Protected

Children's Privacy

Seymour does not knowingly collect data from children under 16 years of age. If you believe that we have inadvertently collected personal data from a child, please contact us at help@seymour.travel and we will take immediate steps to delete it.

Seymour Collects Web Cookies

We use cookies to better understand how users interact with our website  and to tailor your experience. As you browse our website, you will be asked if you consent to cookies being placed on your device. This allows us to track website activity and interactions. Cookies help us understand our customers through data analysis and allow us to present you with retargeted advertising based on your previous interactions with Seymour. Cookies do not collect personal information such as your name, email address, postal address, or phone number.

Display Advertising and Remarketing

We use Google Analytics features such as 'Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting' to help us understand user interaction with our website and app. While you browse, Google Analytics collects additional data via advertising cookies, which are retained for up to 26 months.  This data helps us improve the overall user experience but is not used by Seymour for any direct remarketing or targeted advertising.  If you'd like to opt out of Google Analytics data collection, you can do so by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.  Though Google Ads and Meta may use cookies for their own remarketing purposes, Seymour does not use this data to target you specifically. If you would like to prevent Google or Meta from using your data for remarketing, you can email us your IP address at help@seymour.travel and we will take steps to assist you in opting out.

Cross-Device Remarketing

As a data subject, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.

  • Correct any personal information that is inaccurate or incomplete.

  • Request deletion of your personal information.

  • Restrict processing or object to processing of your data under certain circumstances.

  • Withdraw your consent to the use of your data at any time.

You may request corrections, updates, deletion, or restrictions regarding the use of your personal data at any time.  Should you wish to know what personal information we hold about you or if you would like to have this data removed from our systems, please contact us.  In certain circumstances, you are entitled to the following data protection rights:

  • The Right to Access, Update, or Delete: You can access, update, or request deletion of your personal data directly within your account settings. If this is not possible, please reach out to us for assistance.

  • The Right to Rectification: You have the right to correct any inaccuracies or incomplete information in your personal data.

  • The Right to Object: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data.

  • The Right to Restriction: You can request that we restrict the processing of your personal data under certain conditions.

  • The Right to Data Portability: You have the right to receive a copy of your personal data in a structured, machine-readable format that is commonly used.

Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to deliver specific services such as payment processing and email communications related to your bookings.  These third parties may have access to personal data, but only as required to perform these services on our behalf.  For example, email communications about your booked products or services may be delivered through Crossfire, and payment processing is done via Windcave.  The following third-party providers are contractually bound to maintain the confidentiality and security of your information and are not permitted to use or disclose it for any purposes other than to provide the requested services:

  • Google Firebase: For app development and notifications

  • Google Analytics: For website and app usage analytics

  • Google Tag Manager: For tracking and managing website tags

  • Windcave: For secure payment processing

  • Cloudflare: For website performance and security

  • On Account: For accounting management

  • On Holiday: For operational logistics of trip management
